In 1988, after finishing his enlistment in the US Army, Cory Leopold (Owner)needed to work a flexible part time job as he was starting a family and attending classes at Northern Virginia Community College studying Criminal Justice while pursuing a career in law enforcement. One morning he found the answer in the back of Time Magazine Classifieds “Be Your Own Boss,Make Your Own Hours, Be A Chimney Sweep.” That was the ticket and after putting a flyer on almost every door in Prince William County and a loyal customer base began to build. He kept the business going part time while working full time with Prince William Police Department. As the things grew, his part time job forced him to make the decision leave the police department and focus on the chimney business. As the years went on Cory’s nephew Kyle Leopold came on for about 15 years before starting his own chimney company back in his hometown in Illinois. Now Cory’s son, Pete Leopold has moved up from a lifetime part-timer to a full time employee. Making sure that there will always be a Leopold to service your chimney.

Leopold’s has built a solid reputation on quality, honest, hard work. There are plenty ways people use scare tactics in this industry, and we pride ourselves on not being one of them. We are a small family owned and operated business out of Manassas, VA. Dedicated to providing full chimney service at a reasonable price with no hidden charges or pressure sales tactics. Unfortunately we do not service Washington D.C. or Maryland.
